Details we love: Ashley’s family plantation-style home where their wedding took place was really special. Her parents built it when she was only 11 years old, and since then, it has been her dream to get married there and so she did!
● The stunning Monique Lhuillier French Alencon and Chantilly lace dress that Ashley fell in love with at first sight. What’s not to love about MH wedding dresses?
● The pretty bridesmaids in rose-colored dresses.
● As part of the decor at the reception, they covered the backyard pool with plexiglass which served as the dance floor for the evening, something the Ashley had often pictured as a young girl when imagining her wedding day. She always loved the idea of being able to dance the night away on top of a glistening pool!
● To top it off, Ashley’s father planned a big surprise for her! As a little girl, Ashley and her dad’s song was ‘Butterfly Kisses’ by Bob Carlisle. Her very sweet dad patiently waited for his little girl to grow up, find ‘the one’ and then on her wedding day he invited…guess who? Well, Bob Carlisle to sing ‘Butterfly Kisses’ to the bride at her wedding. The father and daughter danced to the tune and as you’d already guess, everyone at the reception was in tears and according to the bride, “it was by far the most memorable part of the evening” said the beautiful bride.
Did you see Ashley & Graham’s beautiful weddingcake? Does it remind you of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding cake? We thought so.
The Look: Southern Elegance. The couple wanted a Southern Plantation style wedding and for their day to reflect their personalities, faith, family and friends. They also wanted the evening to be celebratory and joyful for their guests whilst maintaining their wedding style.
