A beautiful al fresco summer garden wedding took place at the Maravilla Gardens located in the greens of Southern California. Thanks to Esther & Smith photography, the romantic wedding of Shirley and Derek was captured so beautifully.
Summer pastels surrounded the wedding through pink, green, and white flowers, purple bridesmaid dresses, and a blush wedding invitation made by the bride. It was just as the bride envisioned, “a palette of blush, soft periwinkle blue, and brilliant greens to evoke the feeling of a gorgeous midsummer night’s garden party.”
A wedding made of pure magic was the perfect touch to this couple’s friendship and love made to last forever.
The bride was dressed in a light blush strapless Monique Lhuillier mermaid style wedding gown that featured a low back to show off her ageless skin with a small train. The bride wore Badgley Mischka peep toe heels with a little bow sitting atop the toes. A simple updo with a piece of nature peeking out and natural makeup looked so effortlessly done by Jennie Kang.
The Groom wore a nautical navy blue tux that elegantly complimented the bride’s dress and skin tone. Together, the two made the perfect pair.
Beautiful moments of the newlyweds were captured by the photographer under metal archways wrapped in pastel green vines, green bush hedge archways, a wooden swing made for two, a garden full of wildflowers and long grass, and under the shade of enormous willow trees.
Not to mention the enchanting table decorations! The wedding guests met again with the newlyweds at a candlelit reception in the Maravilla Gardens with full bouquets of roses and peonies at the center of the tables. And delicate glassware and silverware were amidst the beautiful plates topped with a mint leaf and brass key as a symbol of their love.
The newly wedded couple, Derek and Shirley, laughed with their loved ones, ate a beautiful pearl colored three layered cake, and danced the night away under the stars, happy as can be.
